Individual therapy session
Weekly sessions using evidence-based models like CBT, ERP, and ACT, built around your goals.
Initial intake evaluation
A full clinical assessment to understand your history and build your treatment plan.
Insurance often covers 50 to 80% of these fees. See how reimbursement works →
Psychological testing
For families and adults who need a formal evaluation. Includes a 60-minute intake, testing sessions, clinical data analysis, a feedback review, and a full written report covering ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences.
Testing is conducted by Dr. Temima Schwartz, our licensed psychology associate specializing in psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluation.
Using your out-of-network benefits
Working out-of-network means treatment isn't limited by what an insurance company decides to approve or how many sessions they'll authorize. Most clients still use their out-of-network benefits, which frequently cover 50 to 80% of fees, and we submit the paperwork for you.
Automated claims and reimbursement
We submit your claim after each session. Your insurance provider processes it and mails your reimbursement directly to you.
Standard superbills
Prefer to submit it yourself? We'll give you an itemized superbill with the medical codes your insurer needs.
HSA and FSA eligible
Sessions and testing both qualify as deductible medical expenses, so pre-tax HSA or FSA funds can cover them directly.
What clients have paid after reimbursement
Based on recent client claims, out-of-pocket costs for a standard $225 session have ranged from $45 to $115 after reimbursement, with many clients landing around $65 to $75. Initial intake costs vary more, largely because that's often the session where a deductible gets met for the year.
Your specific plan and deductible status determine your rate. We handle the claims submission, so there's nothing for you to track down or file yourself.
Figures reflect a small sample of recent clients and aren't a guarantee of your specific benefits.

Common questions about fees and insurance
Do you accept insurance?
We're primarily an out-of-network, private-pay practice. We do offer some in-network coverage through staff clinicians who accept CareFirst, Aetna, and United Healthcare.
What does therapy cost without insurance?
A standard 45-minute session is $225, and the initial 60-minute intake is $300. Many clients use their out-of-network benefits to offset a real portion of that, and we handle the claim submission for you as part of our standard service.
How does out-of-network reimbursement work?
After each session, we submit a claim on your behalf as a standard part of working with us. If you'd rather handle it yourself, we're happy to provide an itemized superbill instead.
What have other clients paid after reimbursement?
Based on recent client claims, out-of-pocket costs for a standard session have ranged from $45 to $115, with many clients landing around $65 to $75. Your specific plan and deductible determine your actual rate.
How long does treatment typically take?
Many clients notice meaningful change within 8 to 16 weekly sessions, though it depends on what you're working through. We build the plan around your specific goals rather than a fixed timeline.
